Children’s Ministry
At Mount Calvary we believe the Church should be a place for families…including kids! We want children to be involved in the life of the Church, and be actively growing in their faith.
That is why we try to make church a welcoming place for kids, by greeting the kids as well as the adults, offering children’s bulletins and books to help them through the service, and holding a special message time with the pastor just for them at the 10:30 service. If a child is feeling particularly boisterous one Sunday, there is a special “quiet room” just for you and them where you can still hear and see the service.
On any given Sunday, you might see children helping out the ushers, playing in the bell choir, or sharing their artwork for the bulletin cover. You may hear of their latest mission project or see evidence of their community service. They may share their talents in worship by singing a song or playing an instrument, or some other special task. You may hear rooms full of active learners as the children gather for Sunday School. At Mount Calvary, all members of the church are ministers of the Gospel… children too! We want a child to be able to say to their friends and neighbors, “Hey, that’s my church. I like it there. They tell me about Jesus. Would you like to come to church with me sometime and learn about Jesus too?”
